Andrew J Miller, CPA, CA

President
Andrew is an experienced accounting professional based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. He graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a degree in finance in 1985 and earned his CA designation in 1994. Andrew began his career at a national estate and trust management company, later taking on senior roles in private industry and government, including serving as CFO of a publicly traded mining company. In 1999, he founded Andrew J. Miller Inc., where he has spent over 25 years providing trusted accounting services to clients. Beyond his professional work, Andrew is actively involved in his community. He has chaired the Better Business Bureau of the Atlantic Provinces and served as President of the Metro Minor Basketball Association. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing at Ashburn Golf Club, supporting local sports, and spending time at his cottage with his wife, Margot, their four children, and grandchildren.

Ryan Casey, CPA

Senior Manager
Ryan is a Saint Mary's University and Mount Saint Vincent University graduate and obtained his Chartered Professional Accounting designation in 2022. Prior to joining the firm in 2013, Ryan worked for a variety of entities in Halifax and Toronto, including KPMG, Jim Beam Global Spirits, and the Weston Family Office (Wittington Investments). When not at work, Ryan is actively involved in the community, having previously served as the treasurer for the Dartmouth General Hospital Auxiliary Foundation, and is the current treasurer of Pathways to Progress Nicaragua. In his spare time, Ryan enjoys cycling, running, cheering on the Boston Red Sox and Detroit Red Wings, hanging out with his Portuguese Water Dog, Fenway, and traveling with his wife, Lisa.

Richard Miller

Accounting Associate
Richard is a graduate of St. Francis Xavier University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an advanced major in accounting and a minor in economics. Prior to joining our team, he gained invaluable experience working in assurance services at KPMG and served as treasurer for St. FX's student-led investment fund, which manages over $500,000 of the university's endowment. In 2024, Richard joined Andrew J Miller Inc. and became a valued member of our team. He is currently enrolled in the CPA program, working towards earning his designation. In his spare time, Richard enjoys golfing at Ashburn Golf Club, running, and cooking up new recipes for his friends and family.
